H. LORD DIES; FUNERAL SERVICES WEDNESDAY Mrs. Harrison Lord, Age 83, died early Monday night at her home in Ila after an illness of two weeks. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Ila Baptist Church, Rev. ____ Park__, Pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Ila cemetery, with grandsons serving as pall bearers. Mrs. Lord is survived by four daughters, Mr. G. M. David, of Kannapolis, N.C.; Mrs. E. P. Scarborough of Atlanta; Mrs. W. D. Barrett of Comer and Mrs. A. L. Fitzpatrick of Ila; one son, Mr. A. H. Lord, of Knoxville, Tenn; one sister, Mrs. Mack Lord of Commerce and one brother, W. H. Gober of Commerce, 17 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Lord was a native of Jackson County but was resided in Ila since 1912. She was the oldest member of the Ila Baptist Church and was very active until a few weeks before her last illness. Her family has been among the outstanding builders of the community and county.
