BEATRICE LORD RITES

   Beatrice Lord, 76, of Route 2, Comer, died Sunday at BJC Hospital in 
Commerce.

   Born in Madison County, she (w)as a daughter of the late William Owen and 
Addie King Lord.  She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

   Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday, December 29, at the Oak Grove 
Baptist Church with Rev. James Page officiating.  Burial was in the church 
cemetery.

   Survivors include one son, William Mell Lord, Comer; two brothers, Dozier 
Lord, of Comer, and Eldridge Lord of Travelers Rest, S. C.; one sister, Mrs. 
Alvin Patterson, of Anderson, S. C; and three grandchildren.
