Lyons, 67, of Danielsville, died Sunday, November 28, 2004, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens following a brief illness. Born May 27, 1937, in Gosport, Ind., she had lived in Middletown and Sulphur Springs most of her life before moving to Georgia in 1984. She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1955 and had worked at Next Day Apparel Incorporated in Ila for several years. Mrs. Lyons was a former member of the Middletown Nazarene Church and a member of the Eagle Nest Ministry in Ila. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. and Violet Marie Hancock, son, Dana Karl Bishop, brother, Robert Charles Hancock; sister, Myra Jane Fridley, and a sister-in-law, Emma Lou Hancock. Survivors include three daughters and son-in-law, Marcella Jane “Marty” and Rick Hollenback and Debbie C. Lyons, all of Danielsville, Lisa Marie Granger (finance’ Frankie White), Ila, Debbie C.; son and daughter-in-law, Allen Dale and Rita West, Danielsville; nine grandchildren, Tammy, Christina, Ashley, Amber Nichole, Isaih00, Chance K., Canyon C., Amber and Bryan; five great- grand-children; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur Dale and Joyce Hancock, Danielsville, Terry Lee and Melinda Hancock, Marion, Ind., Steven Earl Hancock, Danielsville, Michael and Aria Hancock, Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Roberta Ann Ball, Marion, Ind., and Phyllis Jean Hymer, Bogart; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 3, at 10 a.m. at Brown-Butz- Diedring Funeral Home, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana, with the Rev. David Whitteberry officiating. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 2, at the funeral home. Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, Anderson, Indiana, is in charge of arrangements.
