Carl J. Meadow

   Carl J. Meadow, 73, a resident of Danielsville, died Thursday
at his home after a sudden illness.
   Mr. Meadow was a lifelong resident of Madison County and was
married to Mrs. Mary White Meadow, who survives him.  He was a
member of the American Legion and Meadow Baptist Church.
   Other survivors include a son, Jack Meadow, Wilmington, Del.,
a sister, Mrs. Hope Carithers, High Point, N.C.; a brother, Claude
Meadow, Cordele; and three grandchildren.
   Funeral services were to be this aftgernoon at 5 from Meadow
Baptist Church, the Revs. Eugene Pettyjohn and Ray Melear
officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery, and nephews
will serve as pallbearers.
   McDorman Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
