Guy Maddox Rites

   Guy Maddox, 53, of Memphis, Tenn., died Thursday, November 27, in a Memphis 
hospital.
   Mr. Maddox was born in Oconee County and had lived in Memphis for the past 
two years.
   Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Margaret Maddox of Comer; daughter, Mrs. 
Larry Dillard of Athens; brothers, Warren, Lee and Holman Maddox, all of 
Athens, two grandchildren.
   Services were held at McDorman's Chapel in Athens on Friday at 3 p.m. with 
the Rev. Robert Lanford officiating.  Burial was in Meadow Baptist Church 
Cemetery.
   Pallbearers were Edward Maddox, Hershel Maddox, Gerald Maddox, Walter 
Smith,  Bill Welborn and O'Danes Parham.
