Ida Myers Mann, 94, of Danielsville, died Sunday, October 8, 2006, at Athens 
Regional Medical Center, Athens.

A native of Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Mahlon and 
Cancy Smith Myers. She was a member of the Danielsville United Methodist 
Church. She taught school in Franklin, Hart, Elbert and Madison Counties for 
several years and retired from Georgia Forestry Commission. She attended the 
University of Georgia and was a member of Kappa Delta Pi Honorary Educational 
Society. She was the last surviving member of her family. Mrs. Mann was 
preceded in death by her husband, Hervin C. Mann; and a son, James S. Myers, 
MD, Dalton.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Carolyn L. Myers, Dalton; grandson and 
granddaughter-in-law, Eric L. and Natalie B. Myers, Kingsport, Tenn.; two 
great-grandchildren, Rad Hervin Myers and Emily Nell Myers; granddaughter and 
grandson-in-law, Greta R. and Cory F. Blackwell, Danielsville; great-
grandchild, Cancy M. Blackwell.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 11, at the Danielsville United 
Methodist Church with the Revs. Mike McLemore and Ray Jenkins officiating. 
Burial was in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, Hart County. Pallbearers were 
Alvin Mann, Steve Sorrells, George Strickland, Tripp Strickland, Grady Echols 
and Phil Jones.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Danielsville United Methodist Church 
or Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Hart County.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
