A native and life-long resident of Madison County, he was a member of the Danielsville City Council. He was a member of the Danielsville Baptist Church. He drove a school bus for almost 20 years and clerked at L.E. Greene’s Store for a number of years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dezzie Mae Mann; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Russum of Danielsville; two sons, Edwin Mann and Jack Mann, both of Danielsville; two sister, Mrs. Paul Burroughs of Danielsville and Mrs. Carson Southall of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, James Mann of Danielsville; and four grandchildren, Morris Mann, Marty Mann, Allen Russum and Steve Russum, all of Danielsville. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Danielsville Baptist Church. The Revs. Robert Whitehead and J.C. Parker officiated. Burial was in the Danielsville Cemetery. Pall bearers were Roy Griffeth, James R. Hayes, Jr., Eugene Greene, Henry Booth, Billy Burroughs and Johnson Dove.
