Mann Rites Mrs. Dena C. Mann, 81, of Comer, died Monday in a local hospital folwoing a short illness. A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, she was the daughter of Albert and Linnie Burroughs Sorrow. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had made her home in Comer for the past eleven years. Services were held Wednesday, May 22, at 3:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. James W. Brock officiating, assisted by Dr. Virgil Edwards and Rev. Omer Poe. Interment was in Murray Cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers. Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Robert Culbertson, Colbert, and Mrs. Robert Murray, Carlton; four sons, Ramie Mann, Anderson, S. C., Hoyt Mann, Hull, Carl and Norman Mann, both of Athens; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Crumley, Winterville; Mrs. Joe Patton, Danielsville; Mrs. Nellie Edwards Bates, Colbert,; two brothers, Grove(r) Sorrow, Athens, and Ellis Sorrow, Colbert; nine grand-children; two great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
