Mrs. Dena C. Mann

Comer - Mrs. Dena C. Mann, 81, died Monday in a local hospital following a 
brief illness.  She was a life-long native of Madison County and a member of 
the Calvary Baptist Church.

   The funeral will be Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church 
with the Rev. James W. Brock, Dr. Virgil Edwards and Rev. Omer Poe 
officiating.  Bural will be in the Murray Cemetery.  The body will be placed 
in the church at 2:30 p.m.  Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

   Survivors include two daughters.  Mrs. Robert Culbertson of Colbert and 
Mrs. Robert Murray of Carlton, four sons, Ramie Mann of Anderson, S. C., 
Hoyt Mann of Hull, Carl Mann and Norman Mann both of Athens; three sisters, 
Mrs. Annie Crumley of Winterville, Mrs. Joe Patton of Danielsville and Mrs. 
Nellie Edwards Bates of Colbert; two brothers, Grove(r) Sorrow of Athens and 
Ellis Sorrow of Colbert; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and  
several nieces and nephews.

   The family will be at the residence of Hoyt Mann in the Diamond Hill 
Community of Hull.

   The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. tonight at Bridges Funeral 
Home.
