She was cut cown in the bloom of her youth, but during her short stay here, she, by her loving kindness, made to herself as many friends as any one person we ever knew. she joined the church a few years since and was buried with Christ in baptism and rose again to walk with him in newness of life. And her rising was not in vain, for she walked the pilgrim's road through in Jesus' name, and when she was taken sick she said she would never get well again, and continued to affirm it; but she did not forget to show the good seed, though some of them were sown in tears, but this only made us think of what the Psalmist said in the 126th Psalm: "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy." She bore her sickness with all patience and said she did not fear the sting of death, but knew that death would be her eternal gain. She leaves a husband and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death. While her body lies in the grave in deep sleep, her spirit is with the angelic host around the throne at Jesus' feet. Her remains were quietly laid to rest ni the cemetery at Jones' Chapel. Rev. J. H. Simmons conducted the burial service in a short and appropriate manner.
