L. F. McCONNELL Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Ola McConnell, one of Comer's most beloved women, were conducted on Monday morning at ten o'clock from the Comer Baptist Church by Rev. Cranfill Brown, Baptist minister of Sandersville, and Rev. Henry Walker, Methodist minister of Porterdale. Pallbearers were Gerald Birchmore, R. S. Collier, Howard Strickland, J. C. Means, Robert Eberhardt, Jr. and H. B. Snellings. Serving as an honorary escort were C. L. Adair, Hiram Whitehead, W. N. Noell, D. W. Porterfield, M. A. Rowe, Dr. C. H. Bryant, B__ Sims, W. P. Martin, A. M. Wilkins, Boyd McCurdy, Jim Cooper, W. J. Gholston, J. K. Gholston, Candler Sorrells and J. L. McMurray. Mrs. McConnell died at her home in Comer Saturday morning at ten o'clock, after an illness of several weeks. She was one of our most beloved women. Included in the honorary escort were members of the Fidelis Class of Comer Baptist Sunday School of which Mrs. McConnell was President. She was a devoted member of the Baptist church and took an active part in church and took an active part in church work. Aside from being President of her class, she was superintendent of the Adult Department of the Sunday School and a loyal W. M. U. member. She was also Treasurer of Comer Women's Club. A friend to be trusted, she was always responsive to those in need and was ever faithful to her family, her church, her faith and community. " --these are the attributes bestowed by her large circle of friends who share with the family their grief at her passing. Mrs. McConnell is survived by her husband, L. F. McConnell; five sons: R. L. McConnell, Talledega, Ala.; M. A. McConnell, Washington D. C.; T. F. McConnell, Cedartown; L. A. McConnell, Macon and W. E. McConnell, Comer; mother, Mr. W. J. Wooten, Snow Hill, Ala.: five sisters, Mrs. P. H. Paschal, Harlem; Miss Norene Wooten, Athens; Mrs. W. L. Polk, Dixon, Tenn.; Miss Nina Wooten, Nashville, Tenn. and Mrs. W. C. Groves, Comer; two brothers, T. A. Wooten, Snow Hill, Ala. and L. A. Wooten, Washington, D C. and five grandchildren. ---Attending the funeral of Mrs. L. F. McConnell on Monday were: Mr. and Mrs. T.
