L. F. McCONNELL Whereas God, in His Infinite Wisdom has seen fit to remove from our midst our beloved Circle member, Mrs. L. F. McConnell: Be it therefore resolved by Circle One of the W. M. U. of Comer Baptist Church-- 1st. That in the death of Mrs. McConnell a beautiful and useful life on earth has been closed., and we, as a Circle have sustained an irreparable loss, as also her home, her church and her community she being a devoted wife and mother, a loyal friend and a faithful worker in the cause of her Master, through her church and circle. 2nd. That while we miss her and grieve that she can be with us no more, we feel that our loss is her gain, and that she has been called to greater service in the Great Beyond. 3rd. That we will ever cherish her memory and feel the inspiration of her unselfish and consecrated life. 4th. That to her bereaved family we send our deepest sympathy, and pray that God's comforting grace may enable them to bear up bravely under the great sorrow. 5th. That a copy of these resolutions be inscribed in our minutes, one sent to the family and one to the Comer News for publication. Miss Maude Davis IN MEMORIAM MRS. L. F. McCONNELL It is with sad hears that we offer this tribute: In the quiet of the morning of February 10, 1945, the Angel of Death came into our midst, and in the peace of the hour wafted the soul of Mrs. L. F. McConnell to her Heavenly Homer. We have known and loved Mrs. McConnell for many years as a personal friend and it is hard for us to realize she will walk with us no more. We'll sadly miss here familiar face as we assemble in our Club room, Her absence will be deeply felt., for she was a noble woman of ideal characteristics, and the most important thing is that she used them all for the good of other--not only for her friends, but for her church and community. Mrs. McConnell leaves behind her a life o f noble service, the influence of which will live through the years. Her consecrated life in all its beauty has greatly enriched our Club activities. It has been an inspiration to serve with her. She leaves to he family the priceless legacy of a fair name, and the sweet memory of a Mother's unfailing love and loyalty. Therefore be it resolved: 1. That we express to her bereaved family our sincere sympathy and pray that God will comfort them in their great sorrow. 2. That a copy of this tribute be spread upon our Club record. " They never quite leave us-- The friends who have passed through the shadow of death To the sunlight above: A thousand sweet memories Are holding them fast To places they blest with Their prescience and love.
