The parents were enroute to a hospital when death came to little Jack. Funeral services were held at Liberty church, Ft. Lamar, on Sunday with Rev. B.W. Hancock officiating and the body was laid to rest in the church cemetery. Surviving the child are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland S. McWhirter, Jr., one brother, Williams Parks McWhirter, grandparent, Mr. L.S. McWhirter, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. B.P. Higginbotham.
