J. Meadow, released from its tenement of clay, took its flight back to the God who gave it. Mrs. Meadow had been in failing health for several years and her death was not unexpected, but it was nevertheless a severe shock to family and friends when it occurred. Mrs. Meadow was born and reared in this county--daughter of the late Maj. James Daniel and sister of Mrs. F. W. Graham and J. O. Daniel. She had been for a number of years a consistent and devoted member of the Methodist church, and illustrated her profession by a Godly walk. She was an affectionate, dutiful wife, a loving, indulgent mother, a kind, tender friend, a good woman in all the relations of life. She leaves a husband, several chidren, sisters and brother and many relatives and friends to mourn her death, who have the true sympathy of our people.
