Virginia Louise Moncus, 88, of Danielsville, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at 
her residence. 

Born in Louisville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late George Jefferson and 
Mary Louise Craig Timmons. She was a member of Meadows Baptist Church and the 
Eastern Star. She loved working with children and was a wonderful mother, 
grandmother and great grandmother, according to loved ones. Mrs. Moncus was 
preceded in death by her first husband, T.A. MacDougald; and ten brothers and 
sisters. 

Survivors include her husband, W.C. Moncus; a daughter and son-in-law, Marlyn 
and Charles O’Kelley, Danielsville; step-daughters, Tina Rhodes and Brenda 
Byrd, both of Jacksonville, N.C.; grandchildren, Alex O’Kelley, Shannon 
O’Kelley, Melissa Rhodes, Madison Byrd and Sydney Byrd; and great 
grandchildren, Cord O’Kelley, Elijah O’Kelley and Hannah O’Kelley. 

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 29, at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, 
Danielsville Chapel, with the Rev. Hilton Purvis officiating. Burial was at 
Danielsville Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Mike Woods, Alex O’Kelley, 
Charles O’Kelley, Donny Wethersbee, Richard Olson and Josh Huckaby.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
