ELIZA MOON PASSES; FUNERAL IN COMER TUESDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Moon, oldest and most beloved citizen of Comer, were held at the home in Comer Tuesday, conducted by Dr. E. M. Whitesmith and Rev. L. C. Proctor, Universalist Pastors. Assisting in the services was Rev. C. F. Tidwell, Baptist Pastor, who lead the prayers. Mrs. Moon died at the her daughter, Mrs. Ellen Stonecypher in Westminster, S.C., after an illness of several days. She was _6 years of age, having celebrated her 96th birthday at her home in Comer. Mrs. Moon and her husband the late Mr. D. P. Moon, were pioneer citizens of Comer. They were leaders in all religious, business educational and social affairs, ever ready to lend a helping hand to every worthy cause. They were a most devoted couple, and their home was noted for its generous and beautiful hospitality. Mrs. Moon was a member of the Universalist church, and lived a most beautiful Christianl. Her influence and kindness will ever remain a blessing to many lives wherever she was known. Surviving Mrs. Moon are two sons, Dr. Sam Moon, and Mr. Herbert Moon, of Westminster, S. C.; three daughters, Mrs. C. C. Carson and Mrs. M. Y. Jordan, of Comer, and Mrs. Ellen Stonecypher, of Westminster, S.C.
