E. R. Morris, who departed this life Dec. 23, 1905, aged 7 years, 11 months and 28 days. The death angel has again visited our home and taken from it a most precious flower, to bloom around the throne of God. He lost his eyesight some time before he died, but never seemed to be bothered at all because he could nt wee. He was cheerful till the end, and knew almost every one who came to see him by their voice. Just a few days before he died he sang the words of that beautiful son, "Open wide Thine arms of love, Lord. I'm coming home." It was a beautiful sight indeed to see him lying there blind and afflicted as he was, singing that song. Farewell, little Dewey, we'll meet no more This side of heaven; The parting scene is over; The last sad look is given. Farewell till we meet in heaven above And there in union swee, sing of A Saviour's love. Our dear little darling has gone to rest, To be with god forever blest; His sweet little tongue will sing, Praises to his heavenly King. Oh! the cold grave is a lonely place; Its shades are deep and still; It was sad to have little Dewey there, But that was the maker's will. M. A. M.
