T. Moseley Passes Funeral Held Sunday Judge Berry T. Moseley, widely known Georgia Jurist, passed away at his home in Danielsville early Saturday morning. He was the son of David Richard Moseley, a Confederate soldier and merchant, and Mary Jane Meadow Moseley. Judge Moseley was married twice, first to Clyde Belle Carrington, who died in 1896, and later to Claudine Daniel, of Atlanta, who died several years ago. Judge Moseley was admitted to the bar at Lexington in 1886 and practiced law here many years with the late Judge David W. Meadow. He was a former Judge of the City Court of Danielsville, and was appointed to preside over the Northern Circuit in 1930 by Govenor L. G. Hardman, filling a vacancy caused by the death of Judge L. W. Hedges. Subsequently Judge Moseley was elected for two consecutive terms. He was a Mason and a member of the Knights of Pythias, and at one time served as treasurer of the Georgia Press Association. Survivors include two grandsons, Tom Neece Boggs, student at University of Georgia, and Harold Boggs, a student at Dahlonega; a brother, D. A. Moseley; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Welch and Mrs. Nell Murray and a son-in-law, J. H. Boggs, of Danielsville. Funeral services were conducted at Danielsville Methodist Church, of which he was a member, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Roy C. Owens, pastor of the church and Rev. H. L. Byrd, presiding elder of the Athens-Elberton District officiating. Interment was in Danielsville cemetery, Bernstein Funeral Home in Athens in charge of arrangements. Acting as pallbearers were Messers Tom N. Boggs, Harold A. Boggs, L. E. Green, Vascoe Meadow, Harold Carrington, Joe Brown, Will King Meadow and Roy Murray. An honorary escort was composed of Will Erwin, Mac Michael, Abit Nix, Judge Henry C. Tuck, Judge Blanton Fortson, Solicitor Henry West, Rupert Brown, Furman Smith and George Goode. The Bar Association, County Officers and newspaper staff of Oglethorpe, Elbert, Hart, Banks and Madison Counties and the Bar Association and Newspaper staffs of Royston and Lavonia. Judge Moseley had been prominent many years in North Georgia affairs and was the author of important decisions on constitutionality of state laws. In May 1937 he held valid the act calling for a statewide referendum on constitutional ammendments after the election had been challenged in a Franklin County suit. In Judge Moseley's passing our county loses one of her foremost citizens.
