We all feel sure that her Heavenly Father, in His mighty wisdom, has called her to a better home. In her passing away her devoted sister and brothers and church sustain the loss of both a loving sister and a faithful member. Her many friends lose a kind and ever thoughful friend. She united with Meadow Baptist Church in 1915, always rendering the best of service and lending a helping hand. Her church has lost a member whose Christian life was not a mere confession of Faith but she lived that faith each day. In moving away some time ago, we feel confident she has made a host of friends there to mourn her death. We also know that her influence will live on; we do not speack of her as being dead, but know she is just away--God with His tender love has only called her to that eternal home He has prepared for her; Knowing that se as gone to her reward, it makes us think of the promise in the Scripture: "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." Miss Nelms were born and reared in Madison county; was te daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Nelms. She was laid to rest in Meadow Cemetery January 3, 1929. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. C. West. Mrs. J. D. Patten Mrs. Cleo Carithers.
