   Osie Lougenia Nelms, 75, 345 Calhoun Drive, died Sunday, Jan 27.

   A native of DeKalb County, Mrs. Nelms lived most of her life in 
Madison and Clarke counties and was a member of Diamond Hill
Christian Church.

   Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bernstein 
funeral Home with the Revs. Larry Davison, Darrell Gilmer and James 
Ash officiating.  Burial will be in the Murray family cemetery.

   Survivors include four daughters, Lucille Nelms, Athens, Charlene 
Carithers, Virginia Myers and Dorothy Dalton, Watkinsville; five sons
Curtis Nelms, Athens, James William Nelms, Bogart, Lee Nelms and 
Joe Nelms, Watkinsville, and Donald Nelms, Ramona, Calif., 31 grand-
children, and 21 great grandchildren.

   Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

   The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nelms, 52 Wilson Road, 
Watkinsville, and will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 - 9 
tonight.
