Born in Cedartown, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Case and Lydia Rice Evans. Over the years Mrs. Nolan lived in several cities in Georgia including Rome, Acworth, Valdosta and Stone Mountain. In 1980 she relocated to Comer from Stone Mountain where she worked for Dupont Nemours, Inc. as an Executive Secretary. She was a member of Comer Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for several years. More recently and prior to her death she was a member of Vineyard Creek Baptist Church where she also served as a Sunday school teacher. She was an avid Bible student who loved her Lord Jesus, according to family members, and was an accomplished artist with expertise in drawing and painting. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Clyde David Nolan; son, Patrick David Nolan; friend Deanna Lynn Craft, Hiram; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Lydia Nolan and Dr. Richard E. Davis, Weston, Fla., and Dr. Lisa Kay Nolan, Ames, Iowa; cousin who was as close as a sister, Carolyn Daves, Austell. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 24, at 2:30 p.m. at Vineyard Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Larry Green and the Rev. Dewitt Waters officiating. Pallbearers will be deacons of the church. Honorary pallbearers will be Aubrey Thomas and James Page. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville.
