M. J. O'KELLEY DIES M. J. O'Kelley one of Madison County's most substantial citizxens passed away on Wednesday morning and was interred at Union church, Thursday morning, amidst a large concourse of relatives and friends. "Uncle Joe" as he was commonly known and called by his friends had lived to a ripe age--his entire life being spent in this County and practically on the Judson O'Kelley farm which he had purchased and built up to a high state of cultivation. He was always deeply concerned over his family--each of whom he loved with a pure devotion. He was always economical even though possessing a great deal of this world's goods and was always careful to do what he said he would do. He was a good citizen, husband and father. He leaves a widow, six sons: William, Wilburn, Frank, Isaiah, Grady and Gordon' three daughters besides a number of grandchildren and other relatives who mourn his loss, and who have the heartfelt sumpanthy of a host of friends.
