Mrs. Howard Patten Dead

On Wednesday, Nov. 24th, occurred the death of Mrs. Howard Patten after a 
desperate fight on her part with a lingering disease. She suffered intensely but 
was brave to the last battling for the privilege to raise her family of four dear 
children. She was a consecrated member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church, trusting in 
God, believing that through Jesus Christ all would be well.

She leaves her husband, Howard Patten and four dear children, three brothers, 
Jack, Richard, and Clinton Haynes; two sisters, Miss Distie Haynes and half sister 
Mrs. Tate. She was interred at Moon's Grove Cemetery Thursday afternoon, Nov. 
25th. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the entire family.
