BUD PORTERFIELD BURIED SUNDAY Mr. W. B. "Bud" Porterfield, age 72, on last Sautrday morning loaded his wagon with a "turn" of corn and drove to Thorntons Mill to have it made into meal. On alighting from the wagon at the mill he fell dead. It is not known just what caused his death. Mr. Porterfield was a substantial citizen and a progressive farmer. He leaves a widowed wife, three sons, and a host of friends to mourn his untimely death. He was buried at old Lystra Church cemetery last Sunday afternoon. Rev. Wells preached the funeral sermon and the funeral services were in charge of Mr. Averitt, who is with the Rosemary Funeral Directors.
