Ralph David Russell Dies;
Funeral in Comer Today

   Graveside services for Ralph David Russell, age 44, will be
held today, Thursday P.M. at 3:00 o'clock in Comer Cemetery,
with the Rev. Lowell Sykes, Presbyterian Minister officiating.  He
was the son of the late Ralph D. Russell and Mrs. Hattie
Thompson Russell Evans.
   Death came in Bay Pines Hospital after a shor illness.  He
was a Veteran of World War II.  Mr. Russell spent his youth
in Comer and Carlton.  He was an electricial engineer and had
lived many years in Tampa, Florida.
   He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Russell; mother, Mrs.
Hattie Evans; three sisters, Mrs. R.E. Collier, of Bowersville, Ga., 
Mrs. Mildred Beckam, Evansville, Ind.m and Mrs. Elizabeth
Evans Dialogue of California; one brother, John Hope Russell, 
Miami, Fla.
   Mr. Russell was a member of a prominent pioneer Madison 
County family and had many friends in this area who are grieved
to learn of his passing.
