Rogers died at his home at Rogers Mill Saturday morning at 11:45 o'clock, following an illness of one week with pneumonia. Funeral services were conducted at two o'clock Sunday afternoon at Danielsville Baptist Church by Rev. A. E. Logan, pastor of the Danielsville Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. B. W. Hancock, pastor of the Danielsville Methodist Church. Interment was in Danielsville cemetery, McDorman Bridges Funeral Home in charge. The pallbearers were Messrs. Dabney Baker, Raymond Rogers, Eugene Hardman, Clifford Graham, Pat Graham and O'Dell smith. surviving Mr. Rogers are; the wife, Mrs. Bethel Gordon Rogers; six daughters: Miss Grace Rogers, of Center; Mrs. Calvin Floyd, Misses Lucy, Frances, Lois and Mary Helen Rogers, of Danielsville; two sisters: Ms. George B. Burroughs, Athens; Mrs. Eugene Hardman, Danielsville; two brothers, Mr. W. T. Rogers, Mountain City, Ga.; and Mr. ___ Rogers, Danielsville. Mr. Rogers was __ years of age and was a native of Madison County, and one of the most prominent business men. He owned and operated Rogers Mill, which was organized in _____, and has been in the ownership of the family since that time. Mr. Rgers was a member of the Baptist church, a leader in his community and his death brings sorrow to many friends throughout the county.
