Funeral Services Held Here
For Mr. John J. Smith

   Funereal services for Mr. John J. Smith, a native of Comer, and 
son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben smith at Comer, who died in Cincinnati,
Ohio Thursday afternoon after several months illness, were held
Saturday afternoon at three o'clock from the Paoli Presbyterian
church with Rev. W.R. Calloway, pastor of Comer Baptist church
officiating
   Mr. Smith had lived in Cincinnati for the past fifteen years.  He 
was 41 years old.
   Surviving Mr. Smith are his parents; four sisters: Mrs. A.M. Hix
of Comer, Mrs. J. C. Cook of Ft. Pierce, Fla., Mrs. Griff Meadown of
Comer, and Mrs. Waldo Smith of Kingsland; four brothers:  C.C.
Smith of Comer; Roy L. Smith of St. Marie, Mich.; Jr. R. Smith of
Staten Island, N.Y. and Robert E. Smith of Kanapolis, N.C.hildren.
