Seagraves, 55, of 156 Miles Street, died in a local hospital Saturday morning at 11:25 after an illness of three weeks. A resident of Athens for six years, Mrs. Seagraves was a native of Madison county. Funeral services will be held from Pleasant Grove Baptist church of Neese, Ga., Monday afternoon at three o’clock, the Rev. R.E. Carter of Union Baptist church officiating. Interment will be in Gunnells family cemetery, Neese. McDorman-Bridges in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be announced later. Mrs. Seagraves is survived by five daughters, Mrs. C.W. Moore, Mrs. L.G. Ward, Miss Lena Seagraves, Miss Jessie Mae Seagraves, and Miss Grace Seagraves, all of Athens; a son, Ellijay Seagraves also of Athens; mother, Mrs. Nannie Gunnells, of Ila; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Adams of Athens, and Mrs. Jim Lord of Ila; six brother, Euel, Roy, Sim and Frank Gunnells all of Hull: Frank Gunnells, Whitehall, Hezzie Gunnells, Colbert, and Bethel Gunnells, of East Port, N.C.; brother-in-law, Zan Lord, Hull, and four grandchildren.
