T. Sanders Sunday Mr. H. T. Sanders, rominent citizen of Danielsville, died at his home last Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock following an illness of five days. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Danieslville Methodist church at four o'clock. Rev. B. W. Hancock, pastor of the church, was assisted by Dr. C. C. Jarrell, presiding elder of the Athens-Elberton district in conducting the funeral services. Pallbearers were the following members of the Woodmen of the World: Messers J. A. Baker, H. L. Echols, W. D. Meadow, L. L. Bond, O. L. Powell, J. B. Culberson, C. G. Blackwell and A. L. Mann. An honorary escort consisted of the following stewards of the church: Messers R. H. Gordon, S. W. Echols, R. H. Thompson, W. E. Burroughs, T. C. David, James E. .Bond, C. E. Huff, D. A. Moseley, Dr. W. D. Gholston and the following friends: W. A. Rowe, S. R. Hardman, S. A. Westbrook, and from the Market Association, Goss Thomas, chairman, J. A. Griffeth, Johnnie Gaulding, J. Cliff Barnett, G. N. Stovall and Worley Adams. Interment was in Danielsvile cemetery with McDorman Bridges in charge of arrangements. Surviving Mr. Sanders are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Daniel Sanders; son, Ralph Sanders, Danielsville; grandson, Russel Albert Sanders; sisters: Mrs. Fannie Brooks, Athens and Mrs. Guy Hitchcock, Danielsville; brothers: Messers H. B. and T. M. Sanders, Danielsville, and G. C. and U. T. Sanders, Athens. A native of Madison County, Mr. Sanders had spent his life among its people where he had many friends. For the past thirty years he had been Secretary of the W.O.W. and for a like period of time carried the mail, retiring from this work sixteen months ago. A former member of the Board of Stewards of Danielsville Methodist Church. Mr. Sanders was also a member of the County Marketing Board and was considered one of the leading farmers of the county and his death removes one Madison county's best known of the most outstanding citizens.
