TOM M. SANDERS GONE INTO THE BEYOND On Sunday morning at one o'clock Dec. 21; at her home near Danielsville the death of Mrs. Tom M. Sanders after a hard bitter fight to overcome a severe burn on Saturday before. Mrs. Sanders was in her room while Mr. Sanders and their son Mitchell were near by sawing wood when she ran suddenly from the house enveloped in flames which had consumed practically all her clothing. Immediately Drs. Gholston and Hampton were upon the scene and found the burns beyond the control of medical skill, death resulting in about 12 hours. Mrs. Sanders was just recovering from a recent operation for appendicitis having not enjoyed very good health for several months however had borne her sufferings with great patience. She was a good woman abounding in faith in God and being a good neighbor; mother; wife and friend. Having connected herself with the Methodist Church long ago she had kept the faith and fought a good fight as was attested by all who knew her. Though a great sufferer she always remembered the goodness of her Creator and was always pleasant; affable and kind with those around her. The funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church at 11 o'clock Monday Dec. 22 by her pastor Rev. Wm. Greenway followed by a few remarks by Dr. Gholston which she requested previous to her demise. The brothers and brothers in law of the deceased were pallbearers. She is survived by the husband Mr. Tom Sanders, one son Mitchell Sanders; four brothers; Massers. Wm. D. and Griff Meadow of Danielsville, Carl Meadow of Americus and Claude Meadow of Monroe; one sister Mrs. Hope Carithers of Danielsville. The interment was at Meadow Church.
