Danielsville Monitor   10 Nov 1916
Wednesday morning A.M. Scarborough, a promoinent and popular citizen of Comer, 
departed this life.  He had been a prominent merchant at Comer for a number of 
years, but his health failig, he retired from business a year or two since.  
His boyhood was spent here, where he married Miss Jessie mattox, wo, with a 
daughter and a little son, survives him.  Mr. Scarborough was a kind, loving 
husband and father, an honest, upright business man and a valuable citizen.  
Besides his wife and children he leaves several sisters, three brothers and a 
wide circle of relatives and friends to mourn his departure, all of whom have 
our sincere sympathy in their bereavement.
