FUNERAL FOR MR. JAMES DAVID SMITH LAST THURSDAY

   Mr. James David Smith, age 87, of Gholston Stand Community died Tuesday, 
April 1, 1947, of pneumonia at the hospital after an illness of two weeks.  He 
was a native of Madison County.
   Funeral services were held Thursday, April 3, 1947, at the Providence Church
 with burial in the Church cemetery.  Rev. T. L. Christian of Danielsville 
conducted the funeral services.
   Survivors include:  His wife, Mrs. Evie Horne Smith; five children; his 
mother, Mrs. Hoyt Smith; two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Brown, Danielsville, Ga. and 
Mrs. Artie Hart, Danielsville, Ga.; three brothers, Mr. Early Smith, Mr. 
Ernest L. Smith, and Mr. Raymond Smith, all of Danielsville, Georgia.
