C. H. SMITH Funeral services for Mrs. C. H. Smith, who died Wednesday at her home in Macon, were conducted from the Comer Baptist Church on Friday morning at eleven o'clock. Rev. A. C. Baker, of Macon, was assisted by Rev. S. S. Williams, of Comer and a special choir gave the musical selections. As a shock to her many friends came the news of Mrs. Smith's death in Macon. She had been ill only about six days with pneumonia, and her friends here did not know, until shortly before her passing, that her shortly before her passing, that her condition was alarming. Mrs. Smith was 58 years of age, and had lived in Comer until several weeks ago when the family moved to Macon. She was a devoted wife and mother, ever ready to serve old and young alike. She will indeed be missed. Surviving Mrs. Smith are her husband, Mr. C. H. Smith; two daughters, Miss Minnie Bell Smith, of Macon, and Mrs. Roy Threlkeld, of Comer; four sons: Messers J. B. Clarence, B. B. and Dozier Smith. Many sorrowing relatives and friends from far and near were in attendance at the funeral paying a last sad tribute to this departed loved one, and a wealth of beautiful flowers attested the love and esteem felt for her. Interment was in comer cemetery with Bernstein Bros. in charge of arrangements.
