Edgar Jack Smith, 69, of Danielsville, died Friday, September 22, 2006, at his 
residence.

Born in Barrow County, he was the son of Martha Hayes Smith and the late 
Loanier Curtis Smith. He was a member of Elder Road Baptist Church. Mr. Smith 
was preceded in death by his wife, Jacquelyn Augustas Ogletree Smith.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Neil Russell; son 
and daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Smith; his mother; brothers, Gene Smith 
and Joe Smith; sisters, Carolyn Harris, Barbara Smith, Sara Haygood, and 
Martha Lovins; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 25, at Lord & Stephens Funeral 
Home, Oconee Chapel, with the Rev. Carlton Shelton officiating. Burial was at 
Oconee Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
