Ramy Smith In the death of Bro. Smith we feel sure that God never makes a mistake but does all things well altho we all who knew him realize that a good man has been taken from us. In all relations of life he was Faithful and True. He loved his Master and was a true and consistent member of Meadow church; he always tried to attend regularly and was found trying to do service for his Master and we, as a church and community realize we havae suffered a great loss. Bro. Smit was left many years ago to battle the hardships of life without a companion, but realizing that God who created him does all things well and his go this way, he bore the trails of life without a single complaint and lived so as to find a way to the respect and love of all whom he met. He was a true and faithful Father ad was always found trying to make his home happy, but as the years went by there came a time that he had no home that he could call his own, but his loving cheerful disposition gave him a hearty welcome in the homes of his children, and friends. Finally he grew old and his body, or temple in which he lived became frail; his sight was taken from him, and in darkness he had to go, but God, in His mighty love, saw fit to call him home. Now we are happy to fee and believe that he has gone to a place to spend eternity, where there will be no more darkness, and no more hardships and pain for him to hear and where he will never again grow did. He leaves a host of friends and relatives besides his children, three girls and two boys to mourn his departure. He departed from this life October, 1928 and was laid to rest at Cedar Grove cemetery.
