Native Of Comer, John J. Smith, Dies In Cincinnati

  Funeral services for John J. Smith, a native of Comer and son of Mr. and 
Mrs. Ben Smith of Comer, who died in Cincinnati, Ohio Thursday afternoon after 
an illness of several months, were held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock from 
Paoli Presbyterian church in Comer, Rev. W. R. Calloway, pastor of Comer 
Baptist church officiating.
  Mrs. Smith had lived in Cincinnati for the past 15 years.  He was 41 years 
old.
  The deceased is survived by his parents; four sisters, Mrs. A. M. Hix of 
Comer; Mrs. J. C. Cook of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; Mrs. Grif Meadow of Comer; and 
Mrs. Waldo Smith of Kingsland; four brothers, C. C. Smith of Comer; Roy L. 
Smith, St. Marie, Mich; J. R. Smith, Staten Island, N. Y.; and Robert E. 
Smith, of Kannapolis, N. C.
