Sara Lillian Smith Standridge, 86, of Colbert, died Tuesday, November 9, 2004, 
at Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston.

Formerly of Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Ella Simmons Smith 
and was born March 14, 1918, in Stephens County, where she lived most of her 
life, having lived in Madison County for the past 40 years. She was a member of 
Shady Grove Baptist Church, where she was church pianist for a number of years. 
Mrs. Standridge was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Raymond Standridge.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda Winn, Comer, and Carolyn Collins, Hull; one 
son, Billy Standridge, Carnesville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 
and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 12, in the Hillcrest Chapel of the 
Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Pointer officiating. Burial was in 
the Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Casey Smith, Ryan Smith, 
Bill Standridge, Ed Riddle, and Buddy Redmond.
