J.C. TABOR DEAD At his home at Ft. Lamar on last Tuesday afternoon occurred the death of Mr. J.C. Tabor who had been feeble for several weeks with what he termed enfluenza. While in Danielsville at his task as one of the tax accessors he was barely able to be up but carried on his duties without a murmur. Uncle Cape, as he was familiarly called by all his friends, was indeed a good and thoughtful man, being first in his church and Sunday school and all affairs that were uplifting and pertained to the growth of that which was moral and religious. Truly he was one of the best citizens of Madison county and his communtiy as well as the county has lost a valuable citizen, whose daily wlak before God and man, will be greatly missed. He was a sound thinker, and believed in educating the heart as well as the mind, demonstrating both in guidance of affairs at home, having lived to see his entire family graduates from some college and enter into the educational world. He was a member of the Liberty Methodist church at Fort Lamar, but he was more than that; he ws deeply religious and love his fellow man, the attestant to this being all who know him. He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Miss Ruth, two sons, Dwight, who teaches at Pocataligo, and Prof. Paul Tabor, who teaches at University of Georgia, Athens, Ga.. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the bereaved family. The interment was at Liberty church at Ft. Lamar on Wednesday aftgernoon at four o'clock, the funeral services being conducted by his pastor the Rev. M.C. Allen, and former pastor, Rev. Marvin Franklin, who is now stationed at Barnesville.
