Parker Tabor is felt not only in his immediated section, but the County and State as well. He leaves a vacancy which can't be easily filled. Parker was a young man of sterling worth, full of ambition, conscientious in the discharge of his duties and was trying to be of some ovalue to his family, community, County and State. Though here for only a short time we had learned to love and esteem him. He served as a Member of the County Board of Education for three years, but on account of ill health he sent in his resignation which was in the Governor's office at the time of his death. We, the Madison County Board of Education, relize that we have lost a truly great young man and for that our loss is his gain. Whereas, the Grand Master, the Supreme Ruler of the universe has ____________ our esteemed member Mr. W. Parker Tabor and whereas, the infinite relation held with him in the discharge of his duties on the Board of Education makes it eminently befitting that we record our appreciation of him of him therefore, Resolved--That the wisdom and ability which he exercised in the discharge of his duties on the Boarad of Education will be held in grateful remembrance. Resolved--That the removal of such a life from us leaves a vacancy and a shadow that will be deeply realized by the members of the Board of Education and will be a serious loss to the County. Resolved--That with deep sympathy with the bereaved family, we express our hope, that even so great a loss to us all may be overruled for good by Him, who "doeth all things well." Resolved--That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of the Board of Education, a copy printed in the County papers, and a copy mailed to the bereaved family.
