L. A. TEASLEY Funeral services were held last Saturday morning at 11 o'clock for Mr. Luther A. Teasley, 67 well known citizen of Comer, who died Wednesday November 18, at an Atlanta hospital. Services were conducted fromo the residence by Rev. S. S. Williams, Rev. Joe Cook and Mr. W. E. Whitehead. Mr. Teasley, a native of Hart County, was reared in Elbert County. He moved to this county in young manhood, and began to carry mail from Carlton in 1905; he was active in assisting in the organization of the Rural Letter Carriers Association of Georgia. He was an officer in thsi organization for several years. Because of ill health he reitred from the mail service and had lived in Comer a number of years. He was a member of the Methodist church and a Mason. He is survived by one son, Mr. James Teasley of Comer; three daughters: Mrs. Katherine Myrick of Atlanta: Mrs. Frances Bell, Athens; Miss Ruth Teasley, LaGrange; his Father, Mr. George T. J. Teasley of Elberton; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Campbell and Mrs. Ora Gaines of Elberton; one brother Mr. Glenn Teasley, Anderson, S. C.
