Colbert--Billie R. Thompson, 76, Route 1, died Monday, May 7.
    A native of Madison County, Mrs. Thompson was a daughter of the late Will 
and Delia Jordan Reid.  She was a retired waitress and a member of Colbert 
Baptist Church.
    Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Brown's 
Funeral Home in Danielsville with the Rev. Don Fuller officiating.  Burial 
will be in Morris cemetery.
   Survivors include her husband, Arthur D. Thompson, and two sisters, Effie 
Morris, Colbert, Jessie Williams, Charlotte, N.C.
   The family is at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home 
from 7-9 tonight.

Additional Comments:
Willie was born and raised in Madison Co., GA, bur lived a large part of her 
adult life in NC.  She and Arthur returned to Madison Co. several years before 
their deaths.  Note that her obit used the nickname Billie which may have been 
a typo.  All official records and her tombstone list her name as Willie.
