Trammell, of Dalton Ga. Mrs. Trammell had been ill for several months, but her death came unexpectedly. Mrs. Trammell was a prominent figure in the Georgia D.A.R. holding office of first vice regent at the time of her death. She also held the state chairmanship of patriotic education in this organization and was a member of the committee of patriotic education of the national society, Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Trammell organized the John Milledge chapter, D.A.R. of Dalton, and through her efforts and ability, the state convention of the society was held in Dalton two years ago. Mrs. Trammell numbered her friends over the state by the hundreds, and her influence and achievements for the advancement of education along patriotic and other lines will remain as a monument to her splendid character. Mrs. Trammell was the wife of Mr. Paul B. Trammell, chairman of the Georgia Public Service Commission. He is also an eminent figure in banking circles, being president of the First National Bank of Dalton. The Atlanta Constitution Monday, November 3, 1924 Page Five Funeral Services to be held Monday Dalton, Ga., November 2 – (Special) – Mrs. Paul B. Trammell, Sr., wife of Paul R. Trammell, chairman of the public service commission of Georgia, died at her home here last night following a lingering illness. Mrs. Trammell was prominently identified with the various women’s organizations of Georgia and was regarded as a leader. Her death is a distinct loss to this city. She is survived by her husband and three sons, Paul B., Jr., Mark and Newton. Funeral services will be conducted here Monday at 2:30 o’clock from the home.
