Little Vernon was six years of age. His death was caused by a fall from a barn loft on February 5th which fractured his skull. Dr. Lee and Dr. Brown operated sunday, Feb. 7. They tried with all helping hands to save his life, but the Heaven Father knew best and carried him to his home of rest. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. J. O. Brand at Royston Methodist Church Tuesday at eleven o'clock. His little body was laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery, Weathly and Brock, funeral directors in charge. Little Vernon is survived by his parents and little brother, Edwin, four ears of age and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his going. So, weep not, Father, mother and little brother for little Vernon has gone to rest in his Heavenly Home where there will be no sorrow nor pain. The Lord giveth and He taketh; "Blessed is the Lord." He, Little Vernon is a shininig jewel waiting to meet us in Heaven. The Lord comfort the borken hearts, for dear little Vernon has gone on the his home not made with hands, but eternal res.
