Have given and granted to The said Joel Strickland six forty acre lots of land lying in Forsoith County and first district in said state lot as five hundred and seven (Lot 507) granted to John Tucker. Lot no. five hundred and four (Lot 504) to Su___ H. Dwight Lot no. five hundred and eleven (Lot 511) granted to Elizabeth Allen Lot no. five hundred and ten (Lot 510) granted to James T. Barton Lot no. five hundred and six (Lot 506) granted to Timothy Bradford Two lots number not recorded nor who granted to with reference to the plots and grants the above lots of land worth One Thousand Three Hundred and Seventy Five Dollars _____(?) six negroes Ben, Percy, Till, Walton Almeda ___ (?) worth One Thousand Eighteen Hundred Dollars To two feather beds and furniture worth One Hundred and twenty Dollars, plantation tools, householde and kitching furniture and plantation tools Forty Dollars. Son: Newport Strickland - Lots 482, 497, 1st Dist., 1st Section. Son: Edgar "Ed" Strickland - Lots 495, whereon he is dwelling, Lot (part) 496 & 510, 1st Dist. 1st Section. Son: Walter Strickland - Lots 404, & 406 1st Dist., 1st Section Daughter: Nora Howell: Lots 495, part 496, 501, 1st Dist., 1st Section Joel Strickland had 1/5 interest from inheritance and 1/2 of 1/5 that he bought from Sanders Strickland in what is known as the Matthew Strickland place in Gwinnett Co containing 1496 Acres "to be sold in Lawrenceville GA". No executor appointed Filed in Office August 12th 1889 Probate: September Term 1889 The wife and 4 children went before the court to modify the Lot numbers, Joel had some of them wrong.
