W. WILLIS At a beautiful home ceremony marked by its simplicity Miss Hilda Cox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dupree Cox, became bride of J. W. Willis, CPO of the U. S. Navy and Tifton, Georgia, Thursday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. Rev. A. E. Logan of Athens, performed the impressive ceremony in the presence of the families and a few friends. The bows were spoken before an improvised altar formed of tall baskets of white gladioli and dahlias interspersed with standards bearing white tapers against a background of smilax, fern and palm. The tapers were lighted by Rachael McConnell and Daphne Loftis. During the ceremony Miss Lucille Sasser presented a beautiful program of nuptial music, all requested numbers by the bride, including Lieberstraum III by Liezt, Andante by Lemon and Song of Hope by Batiste. Lohengrin's Wedding March was played for the processional. Miss Dorothy Cox, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a beautiful shell pink Jersey with large white hat and accessories. Her corsage was pink sweetheart roses and blue delphinium. The beautiful blond bride entered with her father who gave her in marriage. They were met at the alter by the groom and his best man, Mr. Eugene Slack of Tifton. The bride was becomingly dressed in a beautiful delft blue lace with off the face hat and white accessories. Her corsage consisted of orchids and tuberoses. Mrs. Cox, mother of the bride, was dressed in navy blue sheer. Her corsage was of sweetheart roses. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Cox entertained at an informal reception, after which the bride and groom left for a trip in the mountains. The out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Slack of Tifton, Georgia; Mrs. Albert J. Whipple, Jr. of Pasadena Texas; Mrs. Gladys Dayton, Mrs. J. H. Douglas, Jr. Miss Virginia Tiller, Mr. Ed B.
