C. McEntire became the bride of Edwin Rice Hart at a beautiful ceremony solemnized at 3:30 o'clock, Friday afternoon, Dec. 27, at the home of Mrs. Nancy D. Loden, of Colbert. Rev. J. B. Nelson, pastor of the Carnesville Presbyterian church performed the impressive ring ceremony in the presence of the families and close friends of the young couple. The altar was banked with a profusion of smilar ferns and chrysantemums and even-branched candelabra containing lighted white tapers gave a loft glow to the dignity of the scene. White satin ribbon with clusters of valley lillies designated the entrance of the bridal party. A beautiful musical program was rendered by Mrs. Brantley Little and Miss Ruby Little, of Carnesville, prior to and during the ceremony. Mrs. Brantley Little very sweetly sang "Because." Little "Mac" Goolsby, of Americans was ring bearer. He was dressed in a black velvet suit and carried the ring on a white satin pillow. Miss Louise McEntire, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mr. Paul Hart, of Athens, was best man. The bride entered with her father by whom she was given in marriage. She wore a becoming ensemble of dawn blue wool trimmed with gray fox fur worn over a blue satin blouse. Her accessories were of gray and she wore a corsage of sweetheart roses and valley lillies. Miss Mary Alice Rampley, a cousin of the bride, ad Harold Loden lighted the tapers. Mrs. Elsie McEntire Goolsby, cousin of the bride, kept the bride's book. Following the ceremony an informal reception was held, Mrs. Loden being assisted in serving by Misses Emma Morris Rampley, Catherine Hart, Mary Louise and Christine Loden and Augusta Jenkins. Mr. and Mrs. Hart left for a brief wedding trip. Upon their return they will make their home in Colbert.
