MRS. NICHOLS WEDS MR. BROOME

   The marriage of Mrs. Nell Smith Nichols, daughter of Mrs. Samuel __att 
Smith and the late Dr. Smith, of Hartwell, to Mr. Robert Toombs Broome, of 
Danielsville, was solemnized Sunday afternoon, December __th at three o'clock, 
at the Methodist Parsonage.  The Rev. Henry H. ___lard performed the ceremony 
in the presence of both immediate families.
   Later in the day, Mr. Broome and the bride left on an extended motor trip 
to Florida.
   The bride was graduated from LaGrange College and has attended the 
University of Georgia.  She taught recently in the public schools of 
Danielsville.  Mr. Broome is a prominent business man of Athens and 
Danielsville.  His daughters are Mrs. Howard Strickland and Mrs. Troy Brooks 
of Danielsville, and Mrs. T. L. Benton and Mrs. J. R. Freeman of Lincolnton.
