All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Michael M Black michael_m_black@yahoo.com June 27, 2007, 9:50 pm Source: Madison Co Ga Will Book A (1813-1841) P. 104-105 Written: December 9, 1839 Recorded: January 11, 1840 page 104 Georgia } In the name of God amen Madison County } I Fanny Allen of the State and County aforesaid being in perfect mind and memory blessed be God yet knowing that it is appointed for all mankind once to die I do make this my last will and testament in this I recomend [sic] my soul to God that give it and my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner not doubting but at the day of general resurection [sic] I shall receive the same And as touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to endow me with I do dispose of it in the following manner (to wit) First after the payment of my just debts I do will and bequeath unto David Evans that part of my tract of land that lies south west of the road leading to Washing Trimeses and north of said Evans line, the remainder of the tract (XXofXlandXthatXliesXsouthXwestXofXX) that I have not disposed of to be equally divided betwen [sic] my daughters Susan Etcherson and Nemiceses Vine- yard + that my daughter Mary Evans shall have my cupboard and large pott [sic] and that the balance of my household and kitchen furni- ture be equally divided with my four daughters and that the remainder of my estate be equally divided between all my children (to wit) Nathaniel Allen Mary Evans Susan Etcherson Clarise Evans and Nemices Vineyard and their children after their death, after paying David Evans for his trouble and expenses in my last illness, and I do hereby appoint David Evans executor to this my last will and testament in witness where- of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th day of Decbr 1839— William D. Cridenton + Samuel Groves, and after being sworn saith that they saw the within named Fanny Allen sign seal and acknowledge the within named instrument of writing to be her last will + testament and that they believed her to be in her proper senses + of sound disposing thought and that they subscribed the as witnessing at the request of said decd__ Sworn to + subscribed in open court this 6th day of January 1840 Attest William D.
