After my death I want all of my just debts to be paid. 2nd. All of my land and other property after paying debts to be left with my wife, Sarah Hampton, during her lifetime for her support. 3rd. After my wifes death my Negro woman, Rose, is to have the privilege of choosing her home with any one of my children that may be willing to take her and no price or valuations to be put on her, all the rest of my property, lands, etc. to be sold and two hundred dollars to be paid to each of the folloiwng named of my daughters: Sarah Anderson, Menta Ann Williams, Rhoda Gilbert and Elizabeth Whitworth, to make them up equal to what my other children have already received in my lifetime, the balance then to be equally divided among all of my children. Share and share alike the share of any one of my children who may not thus be living, to go to their lawful children. 4th. If at the time of said sale, the Negroes, Rose and Sharp, if either of them should be so old or infirm as to be of no value, then some reasonable amount not to exceed fifty dollars for each is to be retained by my executors to keep them from suffering during their lifetime. 5th. Provided my wife, Sarah, should find it too much trouble to attend to the plantation stock, etc., and should wish to break up and to live with certain (word illegible) one of her children, then (next two words illegible) and what other property she may not wish to carry with her, to be sold, and a sufficient amount of money retained in my executors hand this interest to be freely appropriated for her benefit the balance (if any) to be divided among my daughters first named to (word illegible) making two hundred dollars more to them. Should my wife, Sarah, in her lifetime be able and willing to divide any part of the property, she may do so to any of the daughters so named in the third item. They are to take it as a fair balance in so far only as the two hundred dollars to each--(word illegible). Having named in the third item of this my will (word illegible) for paying two hundred dollars to each of four of my daughters thus named, the balance then to be equally divided among all of my children. I hereby restrict and exempt my daughter Ruth Whitworth. It is not my will or desire that she, the said Ruth Whitworth, should receive any share or part of my estate more than she has already received in my lifetime and I hereby nominate and appoint my wife, Sarah Hampton, Executor and Spilsby Tribble and Jonathon Sanders Executors of this my last will and testament here by revoking and setting aside any other will and testaments by me made.
