And first I commit my soul to god who gave it and my body I desire to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner. Second.. After paying my just debts I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth David during her lifetime my entire Estate both real and personal Except as hereinafter described. I have heretofore given to my son Joseph J. David now deceased a Negro boy called Bill which I value to him at eight hundred dollars One bed and furniture at fifty dollars one horse saddle and bridle at eighty five dollars and about twenty dollars worth of other stock &c. Also to my daughter Lucinda O’Kelly formerly Lucinda David the One bed and furniture at fifty dollars one horse saddle and bridle at Eighty five dollars and about twenty dollars worth of other stock &c. Also to my son Morasset David Jr. I have given Eight Hundred dollars in money One horse Saddle and bridle valued at eighty five dollars and wish him to have the like bed and furniture worth fifty dollars and about twenty dollars worth of other stock to make him equal with the older children. Also to my son Jonathan David I have given eight hundred dollars in money one horse saddle and bridle valued at eighty five dollars and wish him to have a like bed & furniture worth fifty dollars. Also the like value of twenty dollars in other stock &c. Thirdly I give and bequeath unto my son William Griffeth David one Negro boy called Jim which I value to him at eight hundred dollars also one horse saddle and bridle to be worth eighty five dollars and bed and furniture worth fifty dollars and about twenty dollars worth of other stock &c. Fourthly I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Elizabeth David one Negro girl called Emily which I value to her at eight hundred dollars my said Daughter to have said Negro Emily whenever she the said Sarah Elizabeth shall become of age and in case that said Negro should die before my said Daughter becomes of age then and in that event she the said Sarah E. to have the value of eight hundred dollars out of my Estate in other property or money. Also to have a like valued horse Saddle and bridle Bed & Furniture &c to make equal with the other older children. Fifthly..I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Lucy E. David the following Negroes to wit One Negro girl named Sarah Jane which I value to her at Four hundred dollars and one Negro boy named Solomon which I value to her at Four hundred dollars also the like value in horse saddle and bridle Bed & furniture &c making her equal with the older children to be delivered to her by my Executors hereinafter named when she may become of age or marry and in the Event that either or both of said Negroes bequeathed to the said Lucy E should die before she the said Lucy E. becomes of age then & in that Event she to be made equal with the rest of my children out of my Estate Sixthly... My will and desire is that at the death of my beloved wife Elizabeth David that all my property both real and personal not hereinbefore given and bequeathed be sold and equally divided amongst all my children, to wit, Lucinda O’Kelly formerly Lucinda David, Morasset David Jr, Jonathan David William G. David Sarah E. David and Lucy E. David share and share alike. Seventhly..I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth David my Executrix and my son William Griffith David and my truly friend Walton H Griffeth my Executors to carry this my last will and testament into effect In witness whereof I the said Morasset David Sr. to this my last will have set my hand and Seal this 12th day of October 1860.
